ARE YOU READY FOLK'S, for some picture's that will really hit the spot,as i have been busy today shooting with the camera and i have to say that these picture's just blew me away to crossbow heaven.Donny i will see if i can upload some to you tomorrow to replace these on here with and also this weekend i will be out on a beautiful location to take some more, hopefully they will truly be magic as the place i have in mind will really make this bow sing,oh my god some of the shot's i took today are simply to die for as they really convey the sheer utter badness of this new cutting edge crossbow.

The pattern's for the limb's and running gear have now been sent off to the foundry so within around a week's time we should have them here to trial and finger's crossed everything will be first class.Meanwhile i am off on location doing some very creative photography with the Mantis prototype and i will very shortly be uploading some incredible image's of this crossbow in the pre finnished guise givving a much more accurate look of how it will look as i have finnished the prototype in black with some very cool graphic's to bring it all together in a package never been seen before on any crossbow's.Also image's of the new limb's will be uploaded to Donny and also fitted to the prototype. Also i have ordered five pillar drill's which will be all set up to do all the drilling operation's at the workshop, where'as other more intricate machining of part's such as milling and any cnc work on such part's as the trigger/sear and string claw will be out sourced to specialized engineering workshop's.This project has been taking quite a long time to develop to where we are now and to say it was really worth all the waiting and all the work and patience and frustration and lot's and lot's of other obstacle's is the tru'est word's i have ever said, lol.WE HAVE COME THROUGH THE LONG DARK TUNNEL AND WE ARE COVERED FROM HEAD TO TOE IN PURE GOODNESS,Phil.

ALL PATTERN'S ARE NEARLY COMPLETED, so now we are more or less there, all we need to get done now is the scope rail and also the winching mechanism of which i am just working on the drawing's right now. This winch will be a lightweight cranking unit designed for the Mantis and constructed of very high grade alloy. So now it will not be very long before i am booking the flight to America to showcase this weapon.

Well what a fantastic day it was at ENDSLIEGH HOTEL 3D field target shoot, with the TOAD HOLLOW ARCHERY GROUP and a VERY BIG THANK'S TO REX HARPHAM AND IAN the organiser who invited me and Talisman crossbow's down there in Tavistock,Devon. The people there were simply fantastic and made us very welcome and we were shown around the beautiful shooting ground and it was breathtaking there. They set up the target's with style and we simply ran out of time and did not get the chance to shoot any of the crossbow's i took but it was all good. The response i got from people there concerning the crossbow's i took there was fantastic stuff and i am so pleased i could inspire and bring joy to people with my work.Joshua Preston was also there and he is an amazing engineer and he said the power of that Mantis was DEVILISH after i showed him the flat tipped steel bullet that had deformed into a swollen ball on the tip and bent like a swan's neck with the extreme impact shockwave and leaving a deep crater in the toughened metal,OH MAN YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD IT WHEN IT HIT IT WAS VERY LOOUUUUDD!!!!!,LOL INSANE CRAZY STUFF!,when it hit a toughened piece of 8 mm thick alloy plate and a pointed tip that nearly went right through it and he was not at all surprised when i said the bowstring can hit at least 1,100 fps at least that on a dryfire as it crack's just like a whip so BREAKING THE SOUND BARRIER ,NOW THAT'S FFFAAAASSSTTTTTT ON FIRE I THINK. and i think he may be well able to help get this new crossbow out there as he has so many engineering contact's and vast knowledge in engineering solution's and Rex Harpham arranged for Joshua Preston to be there and it was very interesting talking to him as we need part's CNC and LAZERCUTTING and EDM WIRE/SPARK ERROSION is fantastic for such part's as the bolt holder spring clip as they can be all cut in one go from lot's of sheet's of spring steel as can be the trigger sear from high grade stainless steel and fixed into the cast trigger part. The bowstring claw will be CNC machined from high grade stainless steel as this will never wear and be ultra strong for absolute safety. We went into this amazing public house called the BEAR HIVE on the Tavistock road from the A30 i think that is the name anyway it was MINDBLOWING in there i have never seen a plase with so much incredible creativity in it in my life and i am still reeling from it this place has got to be seen to be believed and i showed them my crossbow's as this place is on the Talisman crossbow wavelength and they loved them as much as we loved that wicked awesome mindblowing pub, what an end to a truely awesome day out it was INCREDIBLE I HAVE TO SAY.

Well yesterday was a brilliant day as i managed to hit 461.5 fps with a 230 grn bolt but today saw even higher speed's as after a day's work lightening limb's and tweaking bowstring and a few other bit's and piece's we hit 501 fps so we beat the 500 fps barrier i think with a lighter projectile like a 100 grn bullet maybe 600 fps is possible and also i want to uprate the spring to allow a 400 grn bolt to hit 500 fps on top power setting as i think this will really be incredible to offer those that really want speed like this right now we are getting over 400 fps with the compound set up and i think that chrono graph is not very true as i got a feeling it is down by around 50 fps maybe more if i am correct then we have been getting at least 550 fps maybe more we will have to see.
